Cyclist dies of injuries

Bridlington: A cyclist involved in a collision with a car on Sunday evening has sadly died of his injuries.

On Sunday 16 July shortly before 5.30pm a blue Citroen Berlingo collided with a cyclist on the A614 at the junction with Bessingby Gate in Bridlington.  The 18 year-old cyclist was air-lifted to Middlesborough hospital but sadly died of his injuries on Monday afternoon.

Body of a man found

Howden: The body of a man has been discovered on Station Road in Howden

The body was discovered at 8pm yesterday and has not been formally identified, however it is believed to be that of missing Craig Farrow.

An investigation is being carried out to determine how the man died, at this time the circumstances are not thought to be suspicious.

Burglary on St Alban Road Bridlington.

Appeal for witnesses and to warn people to lock their doors at all times.

Someone broke into a house on St Albans Road in Bridlington between 11pm on 9 July and 6am on 10 July.

It is thought that the intruder entered the house by an unlocked door and while in the house stole the contents of a handbag.

Assault Tivoli Tavern, Grimsby

16 year-old boy charged

A 16 year-old Grimsby boy has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with an assault at the Tivoli Tavern in Grimsby on 13 July 2017 where a 35 year-old man sustained serious injuries.

We continue to appeal for help in identifying two men wanted in connection with the same incident.

We've unveiled two brightly coloured police cars ahead of the first UK national Pride event in Hull on 22 July. When parked side by side, the cars form a rainbow, a symbol of LGBT Pride.

RTC on A164 at Jocks Lodge

Drivers advised to take care through junction as lights are not working

We were called at 12noon today reporting that a car had collided with the traffic lights at Jocks Lodge.

A grey Fiat 500 collided with the lights control box and has come to a stop on its roof.

The driver of the Fiat has sustained what are thought to be minor injuries.

Humberside: Public urged not to fall foul cold callers

On 30 June we received two calls within two hours from elderly people or their relatives letting us know they had someone calling at their home pretending to be a police officer.

We also had two reports of burglaries in the same area at the same time.

Gilberdyke ATM theft

Appeal for information about a stolen Manitou

On Tuesday 4 July the ATM was stolen in a ram raid at the BP service station on Main Road in Gilberdyke.

A red Manitou was stolen from the Kilpin area around 5.20pm on 3 July and is thought to have been driven to the Gilberdyke area and hidden to be used in the raid.

Children and young people urged to stop using derelict buildings as playgrounds.

Freeman House on Freeman Street, Grimsby has recently become insecure and has become an attraction for youths, arsonists and thieves.

Sergeant Will Harrison from Grimsby Community Policing Team said: “Freeman House’s progressively degrading state poses a significant risk to those who enter the building and emergency services attending.

“These trespassers are risking their lives entering dangerous buildings, as well as the emergency service staff who are deployed.
