Encouraging young people to make a positive contribution to their community is a high priority for the force throughout the year.

And, in the second week of the Humberside Police Stay Safe Over Summer campaign, our focus will be on promoting the fantastic work done by young people in our area through the various schemes run by the force.

A holidaymaker’s parked car was significantly damaged and left in the middle of a junction in Bempton on Friday morning by a fail to stop driver.

Motorbikes stolen from vehicle

East Cowick: Did you see gang stopping car?

Two motorbikes were stolen from the rear of a pick-up truck by a gang of four men.

The theft happened at around 8.30am on Saturday, August 1, as the victim and his young son

Drove along Greenland Lane, East Cowick.

Their black Mitsubishi Animal was overtaken by a black Ford Mondeo – which was not displaying a rear number plate. The car stopped and four men got out.

Witnesses sought to attack

Scunthorpe: Did you see man being attacked with bottle?

A man is recovering in hospital after he was attacked with a bottle, which was said to be smashed over his head and then used to stab him in the neck.
Witnesses are being sought to the attack, which happened between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Friday, July 31, in Diana Street, Scunthorpe.

Woman injured in collision

Scunthorpe: Did you see incident in car park?

Witnesses are being sought to a collision between a car and pedestrian in a Scunthorpe supermarket car park.

The incident happened at 11.56am on Friday, July 31, outside Farmfoods, Glebe Road.

The victim, a 28-year-old woman, had left the store and was walking across the car park, when the collision with the grey Volvo V40 happened, causing her to fall to the floor.

Appeal for witnesses

Fatal Road Traffic Collision – A165, Bridington Road, Fraisthorpe

At 8.15pm on Saturday evening (August 1, 2015) a silver Ford Focus driven by a 41-year-old Hessle man and a white Volvo V60, driven by a 47-year-old Bridlington man were in collision on the A165, Bridlington Road, Fraisthorpe.

Both cars collided head on just after a bend two miles north of Beeford, resulting in the driver of the Ford Focus sadly being pronounced dead at the scene.

Goole: Drugs warrants executed at two locations this morning

Four people have been arrested after drugs warrants were executed on two properties in Goole this morning. (Monday, August 3)

A quantity of what are believed to be controlled drugs were found in the properties in Alexander Street and East Gate.

Did you witness assault?

Hull: Victim attacked after going to aid of puppy

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched to the head several times in the street between 10.35 and 10.45am today. (Friday, July 31)
The victim’s puppy had escaped in Hull’s Barnsley Street and he gave chase, grabbing the animal by the scruff of the neck to prevent it running into the road.

Plant equipment stolen

Brigg: Did you see suspicious activity?

A mini excavator and ride on roller were stolen from an industrial site in Brigg.

The break-in at the site opposite the primary school in Atherton Way, happened between 8pm on Thursday, July 30 and 7am the following day.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime number 2129013.
