Witness appeal following robbery

Grimsby: call 101 if you saw the incident

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on Hainton Avenue, Grimsby around 10.30pm on Monday 1 May.

In the incident an 18-year-old man was riding his bike, between the junctions of Catherine Street and Margaret Street, when he was approached by an unknown man. The man pushed the bike, causing the victim to fall to the floor, before stealing the bike and riding away.

Armed robbery on Ashby Road

An investigation is underway following an armed robbery at a betting shop in Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, around 4.45pm on Sunday 14 May.

A man approached a member of staff and demanded cash. The woman handed over the money and the suspect then left in the direction of Priory Lane.

North East Lincolnshire: Motorists urged to protect their cars following rise in offences

Theft from motor vehicle offences in North East Lincolnshire have increased by 116 percent, with 45 offences in March and 97 in April.

We are urging the public to help us in preventing offences and reporting any information about the people responsible.

Arson charge

Hull: Man detained for court today

18-year-old Leighton Williams of Lingdale Road, Hull has been charged with arson with intent/reckless as to whether life was endangered. He was remanded to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today (Monday 15 May).

The charge relates to a fire on Bridlington Street, Hull yesterday morning (Sunday 14 May).

Forcewide: We are supporting national awareness in how to prevent rogue trader offences

We are supporting the national Operation Rogue Trader awareness week (May 8 - 12).

The operation is aimed at raising awareness in preventing people falling foul of distraction burglary or rogue traders masquerading as legitimate traders in order to target vulnerable, largely elderly, residents in all communities.

Playing fields pavilion damaged in fire

The pavilion on the playing fields at Benningholme Lane in Skirlaugh, East Yorkshire, was set alight last night.

The fire caused extensive damage and is thought to have been started deliberately.
