Assault of man in Withernsea

We were called to reports that a 47 year-old man has sustained serious injuries in an assault in Withernsea on Sunday morning.

We are investigating the serious assault of a 47 year-old Withernsea man following an incident on Highfield in the early hours of Sunday (9 April) morning.  The man suffered serious head injuries and remains in Hull Royal Infirmary receiving treatment.  Although his injuries are serious they are not thought to be life threatening.

RTC on A63

We attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision (RTC) on the Westbound A63 at 5.30am today.

A Peugeot 206 overturned half a mile from the Melton interchange.

The driver sustained minor injuries and two passengers were not injured in the incident.

Scunthorpe Man Charged

19 year-old Thomas Edgar of Rochester Close, Scunthorpe has been charged with 10 offences and will appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning.

Edgar is charged with offences which are alleged to have been committed during March and April 2017.

Edgar is charged with two offences of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified.  He is also charged with threatening a person with a blade / sharply pointed article in a public place and refusal to provide a drug test.

Wanted Scunthorpe man Thomas Edgar is now in custody.

Mr Edgar, 19, was arrested by our teams at around 7.15am today in the Ferry Road area of Scunthorpe and remains in custody, helping us with our enquiries.

Tools stolen in garage burglary

Melton: call 101 if you have any information about the incident

We’re appealing for information after power tools were stolen from a garage on Melton Fields, Melton.

The burglary is believed to have happened sometime between 10am on Wednesday 29 March and 6pm on Friday 31 March.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently on bail pending police enquiries.

Fatal collision involving motorcyclist

East Yorkshire: Any witnesses should call us on 101

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A614 Near Easthorpe Wold, Market Weighton at 2.53pm yesterday (Thursday 6 April).

A white Vauxhall Vivaro van was driving from the Shiptonthorpe area in the direction of Bridlington when a black Suzuki GSX 750 collided with the rear of the van.

Cycle track assault

Hull: Help us identify the teenagers involved in this nasty assault

We appealing for information after a man was assaulted for challenging people acting suspiciously near a property along the cycle track between Leads Road and Chamberlain Road, Hull.

A 24-year-old man was walking with his dog along the track at some point between 12.30am and 1am on Sunday 2 April when he saw a boy and man reportedly trying to burgle a property.

Grimsby: Witnesses are urged to call 101

We are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that occurred on Station Approach, Grimsby at some point between 11.00am and 12.00pm on Friday 24 March 2017.

A 53-year-old man in an electric wheelchair was crossing the road close to the Bank Public House when he was involved in a collision with a white taxi believed driven by a woman.

Burglary and assault in house on Parliament Street, Goole

A man and a woman were seriously assaulted on Friday evening.

We were called shortly before 5.30pm on Friday (31 March) by the ambulance service following an attack on a two people in a house on Parliament Street, Goole, during a burglary.
