Shining a light on modern slavery

Humberside: Professionals from across the area attended the event to learn more about the issue

200 years after the abolition of slavery, modern slavery is becoming a global issue with cases being uncovered all over the UK including in Humberside. Modern slavery is about transporting, recruiting or harbouring people for the purpose of exploitation, using violence, threats or coercion. It is about vulnerability, sexual exploitation, human trafficking and enforced labour.

Next of kin appeal

Grimsby: Family or close friends sought following the death of Alan Peacock.

Following the death of Alan Peacock of Willing Way, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire on 15 May 2017.

The Coroner has established that his death was not suspicious and has requested assistance in locating Alan’s relatives or close friends.

Alan Peacock (68) was of the Grimsby area.

Garages and outbuildings targetted - appeal for information

A number of garages, stables and outbuildings were broken into overnight between 5pm on 18 and 8am 19 May on Lodge Lane in Gowdall near Goole.

Man assaulted and mobile phone stolen in robbery

Can you help us with our investigation?

A 45 year-old Hull man who was walking down Drainbank between Holderness Road and Salthouse Road on 21 May, between 4.30 and 5.30pm, was approached by 3 men who assaulted him and stole his mobile phone.

The victim suffered minor facial injuries and bruising to his chest in the incident.

Collision on Leads Road

Hull: Witnesses urged to call 101

We’re appealing for witnesses following a collision at the roundabout with Leads Road, Carr Lane and Holwell Road in Hull shortly after 8pm on Sunday 21 May.

The collision involved a blue rover and a large black car with big distinctive tyres - possibly a Jeep.

Help us locate stolen motorbike and quadbike

Goole: Call 101 with any information on their whereabouts

We are appealing for help locating a motorcycle and a child’s quadbike stolen from garage on Rawcliffe Road, Goole between 10pm on Thursday 18 May and 1.30am on Friday 19 May.

An unknown offender(s) forced entry into the garage before taking a Yellow RM 250 Suzuki Motorcycle and a yellow Suzuki quadbike.

Man injured on night out

Beverley: Appeal for witnesses to help with our enquiries

A man sustained head injuries on a night out in the Market Place, Beverley around 3am on 30 April. The 31 year-old Beverley man had been in Kubana Bar near to the Market Cross when he has alleged to have been assaulted, resulting in the head injuries.  The victim was wearing a blue jumper and navy quilted jacket.

Two men glassed

Cleethorpes: If you witnessed the incident call 101

We are appealing for witnesses after two people were allegedly glassed within Bar Babylon in Cleethorpes between 11pm and 11.43pm on Saturday 20 May.

A scuffle broke out between two men and this led to one of the men being assaulted with a glass. Two further men then became involved and a second man was also assaulted with a glass.

Distinctive vintage bikes stolen

Hull: Have you been offered these bikes? Can you help us return them to their rightful owners?

Two very distinctive vintage bikes have been stolen from Freedom Quay on Railway Street in Hull.

Between 5pm on 17 and 10 am on 22 May 2017 the two bikes were taken from an underground car park.

They are described as a gents Hercules Balmoral 1960s bike in British racing green and a lady’s Raleigh Balmoral Hercules 1970s bike in British racing green.

Suspected arson at chalet

Cleethorpes: Did you see anything suspicious?

Did you see anyone acting suspiciously near the chalets to the rear of Meridian Point in Cleethorpes on Friday?

We were called to the area by the fire service at around 6.15pm on May 19, following a suspected arson at the Kings Road chalet.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 2272901.
