Forcewide: We are supporting national awareness in how to prevent rogue trader offences
We are supporting the national Operation Rogue Trader awareness week (May 8 - 12).
The operation is aimed at raising awareness in preventing people falling foul of distraction burglary or rogue traders masquerading as legitimate traders in order to target vulnerable, largely elderly, residents in all communities.
The pavilion on the playing fields at Benningholme Lane in Skirlaugh, East Yorkshire, was set alight last night.
The fire caused extensive damage and is thought to have been started deliberately.

A resident of Nelson Road in Hull has been a victim burglary and we would appeal to anyone who can help us with our enquiries.
Between midnight 20 April and 10am 21 April a garage of a house on Nelson Road, Hull was broken into and a large quantity of sewing and craft stock items were stolen. The items included wool, knitting needles, specialist scissors and various other reels of ribbon and cotton. The items were stock from a craft shop and so are packaged new items.
Operation Achilles operates in the East Riding of Yorkshire to combat motorcyclists riding dangerously and at excessive speeds.
Officers from Humberside Police in partnership Safer Roads Humber use an unmarked Kawasaki ZZR1400 fitted with state of the art speed detection and recording motorcycle which captures video evidence of offences committed by motor cyclists.
