Scunthorpe man Liam Stephen who was reported missing yesterday, Friday 12 May, has been found and is receiving appropriate support.

Forcewide: We are supporting national awareness in how to prevent rogue trader offences

We are supporting the national Operation Rogue Trader awareness week (May 8 - 12).

The operation is aimed at raising awareness in preventing people falling foul of distraction burglary or rogue traders masquerading as legitimate traders in order to target vulnerable, largely elderly, residents in all communities.

Playing fields pavilion damaged in fire

The pavilion on the playing fields at Benningholme Lane in Skirlaugh, East Yorkshire, was set alight last night.

The fire caused extensive damage and is thought to have been started deliberately.

Incident

Broadway, Grimsby

We attended an incident this evening at a property in Broadway, Grimsby over concerns for a man's safety.

A man has been taken into custody and investigations continue.

To protect the property, it will be boarded up and to reassure neighbours and local residents we will have extra patrols in the area.

Oakfield Primary School evacuated as precaution

Hull: We are investigating the possible hoax

We were called at 8.28am this morning (Tuesday 9 May) by Oakfield Primary School, Hopewell Road, Hull reporting that they had received a bomb threat at the school.

As a precaution the Head Teacher has decided to evacuate the school.

At this time the incident is believed to be a hoax.

We are attending to offer reassurance and investigate any offences.

RE-APPEAL FOR MISSING WOMAN RENATA ANTCZAK

Hull: Call us on 101 if you know her whereabouts

Help us find missing 49-year-old Renata Antczak of Beamsley Way, Hull.

Renata was last seen around 1pm on Tuesday 25 April on foot in the Kingswood area of Hull. We are concerned as it is out of character for her not to be in touch with her family.

Sewing equipment and stock stolen in burglary

A resident of Nelson Road in Hull has been a victim burglary and we would appeal to anyone who can help us with our enquiries.

Between midnight 20 April and 10am 21 April a garage of a house on Nelson Road, Hull was broken into and a large quantity of sewing and craft stock items were stolen.  The items included wool, knitting needles, specialist scissors and various other reels of ribbon and cotton.  The items were stock from a craft shop and so are packaged new items.

Court date fixed following death of baby

Grimsby: Woman summoned to appear in connection with concealment of birth of baby boy

A Hertford woman has been summoned to appear before Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates Court in connection with the sad discovery of the body of a baby boy in Grimsby.

The baby’s body was found in a drain at a property in Scartho Road, Grimsby, on February 11, 2016.

Operation Achilles operates in the East Riding of Yorkshire to combat motorcyclists riding dangerously and at excessive speeds.

Officers from Humberside Police in partnership Safer Roads Humber use an unmarked Kawasaki ZZR1400 fitted with state of the art speed detection and recording motorcycle which captures video evidence of offences committed by motor cyclists.

Assault in club toilet

Cleethorpes: If you witnessed this assault call 101

We’re appealing for witnesses to an assault that allegedly occurred in the toilet of 0 Degrees North on High Street, Cleethorpes at around 3am on Monday 1 May.

The victim, a  33-year-old man, was allegedly assaulted in the toilet of a club by up to four men.

Man charged with robbery

Cleethorpes: He will be appearing in court today

18-year-old Dayne Todd Sparkles of Sixhills Street, Grimsby has been charged with robbery and has been remanded to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court today (Friday 5 May).

This relates to a robbery on Promenade, Cleethorpes at 4am on Monday 1 May.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested  on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
